Shiver me timbers! It’s International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Wondering when this holiday came to be officially recognized on Google and beyond? According to the official Talk Like Pirate Day site, author Dave Barry mentioned the holiday in 2002 — then only celebrated amongst a handful of friends — in his Miami Herald column. And since, the holiday has become an international sensation.
