It’s a City Hall wedding — of another kind.

Big Apple Schools Chancellor David Banks and his longtime love First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright are rumored to be getting hitched this weekend on Martha’s Vineyard, The Post has learned.

The supposed summertime nuptials, which have been kept hush-hush among City Hall denizens, will kick off as parents and teachers back home eagerly await a plan for dealing with a surge of 18,000 migrant students and a looming bus strike ahead of the Sept. 7 first day of school.

Banks and Wright — two of Mayor Adams’ top aides — have been tightlipped about their upcoming wedding plans, refusing to confirm when or where their union is taking place.

It’s also unclear whether their boss is invited to the rumored shindig — though Hizzoner is set to hold a fundraiser for himself Saturday afternoon in the tony, liberal enclave of Edgartown on the island, according to an invite reviewed by The Post.

His official schedule then has him flying out to Israel on Sunday on official business.

New York Attorney General Letitia James will also be on Edgartown, where she’ll be renting a house, according to sources.

This weekend is believed to be the annual August get-together for New York’s black political establishment on Martha’s Vineyard to support local film festivals, the Black Economic Forum and to network.

Historically, the gatherings are a prime time to snag campaign donations for politicians of all backgrounds.

Banks, 64 — the brother of Adams’ Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks — and Wright, 52, live together in Harlem and have been engaged since late last year.

Just weeks after proposing, the city’s education bigwig revealed the pair were making moves for a summer wedding.

“It only took me 10 years [to propose],” Banks said in an October interview with New York Magazine.
“We have been talking about this for a while and now living in Harlem together, and I said it’s time. We’ve both done this before, so just taking our time, no rush. We’ve got a great relationship, great partnership.”

Numerous high-profile black celebrities have homes on Martha’s Vineyard, including former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, who own a 23-acre estate in Edgartown, and filmmaker Spike Lee, who owns a home in Oak Bluffs, on the north coast.

Neither Banks nor City Hall responded to requests for comment.
